In October 2024, DJ Mag revealed their annual Top 100 DJs list — and Liu made his entry at #79, climbing 19 places from his debut position the year prior. For Deepbloe, this is a milestone we've been building toward with Liu for years. For promoters, it's a signal that now is the time to act.

Who Is Liu?

Christian Liu de Almeida — known professionally as Liu — is a Brazilian DJ and producer based in São Paulo. His sound sits at the intersection of future house, big room and progressive electronic, with a high-energy performance style that translates equally well to a festival mainstage and a club environment.

Liu first broke through in 2015 after winning a DJ contest hosted by Metropolitana FM, which led to a performance at a Capital Cities show in São Paulo. Since then, he's performed at Tomorrowland Brasil, Electric Zoo, Lollapalooza, and has held a residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza as part of Martin Garrix's summer programme.

His track "All I Want" — a collaboration with Alok featuring Stonefox — accumulated over 30 million YouTube views. His 2024 releases continued that trajectory, with collaborations spanning Brazilian, European and Asian markets.

What the Ranking Means for Promoters

DJ Mag Top 100 is the most widely recognised benchmark in electronic music. An entry — particularly a debut or a significant climb — has concrete commercial implications:

  • Increased demand means tighter availability and longer advance booking windows
  • Fee increases typically follow a Top 100 entry within 6–12 months
  • Artists at this level attract larger audiences and stronger ticket sales
  • Promoters who book early lock in more favourable terms

Liu's 2026 Outlook

Liu's touring in 2026 spans Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America. His European availability is selective — he prioritises high-profile festival appearances and key club shows in markets where he has an established fanbase, including the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and the UK.

For bookings in Asia and Europe, Deepbloe Agency manages all enquiries directly. We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 months in advance for festival dates and 2–3 months for club shows.
